During two awe-inspiring helicopter flights taking you to the very roof of the world, you will come face-to-face with the incredible beauty of the snow-capped Everest and Annapurna mountains, two of the world’s most captivating natural wonders.
The scenic heli-flight to Everest organised from Australia, over farming hills, alpine rivers and lush forests, will first take us east from Kathmandu Airport, flying parallel to the Himalayan Range before landing at Lukla. Once in Lukla, you will see many trekkers from all over the world, making their way to the planet’s highest peak - Everest. The second stage of the flight will provide you with an unobstructed 3-D view of the mountains. From Lukla we will fly to Syangboche, from where a spectacular view of the one-and-only Mt Everest can be seen. Our final stop will be at Tengboche at an altitude of over 3,600 metres, offering a panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountains, including the well-known peaks of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablamand Thamserku. On this guided tour, you will be able to spend one hour taking in the breathtaking scenery of the towering mountains around you as well as exploring a historical monastery during which you will be able to learn about the spread of Buddhism in this remote part of the world. You will have plenty of opportunities to take unforgettable photographs. Upon our return flight, we will be flying close to Mt Langtang.
A second scenic helicopter flight will take us from Pokhara, a beautiful Nepalese city in the shadow of the Annapurna mountain range, to Mustang, a natural and spiritual mecca of the Annapurna region. Mustang, once a bustling salt trading hub for Tibet and India, is now a peaceful place hidden from modern civilization by the irrepressible Himalayas. The area is characterized by traditional monasteries, holy Hindu temples, the Bonpo religion, a fascinating, ancient faith pre-dating Buddhism, and an as yet unsolved archaeological mystery involving potentially thousands of unexplored, man-made caves (known as the Sky Caves) dug in cliff sides centuries ago. The flightwill take us overthe world’s deepest valley, situated between the two Himalayan giants of Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m), offering great views of them in addition to other mountains including Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri Central (6940m), Baraha Shikar (7647m) and Lamjung Himal (6932m).
You will be able to relax in luxurious hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara and in Mustang as you enjoy this wonderful two-part adventure amongst the world’s loftiest peaks.
This tour is geared toward people who want to see the mighty Himalayas including Mt. Everest, without trekking but aren't afraid of flying at a high altitude.
