Pramod is the founder and co-owner of Sherpa Tours, Australia. Having sound knowledge of Nepal and experience in tourism of the country, he settled in Australia since 1997 and began association with Australian travellers to Nepal. He saw an opportunity to make a difference in the way Australians travel to Nepal – by bringing the cultural and spiritual elements which this mystic land has to offer into play so that the travellers can rejuvenate both their mind & soul with the physical presence of their body during their journey. “It does not have to be just a physically challenging and tiring trek anymore to visit and enjoy Nepal”, says Pramod.
As a commitment to making this difference, Pramod offers unlimited one-on-one free consultation to all his clients in planning a trip of their life time.
Before coming to Australia in 1997, Pramod worked for Tourism Ministry, Mountaineering department in Nepal. Pramod loves adventures and trekking. Pramod treasures the natural beauty and cultural aesthetics of Nepal: the jungle; the hills and the mountains; lively Hindu festivals; Buddhist shrines & monasteries; and the whole mystic prevalent within the country.
Just like any other passionate person working in tourism, he is a cultural bridge between the people of Australia and the land and people of Nepal. Through travel, he hopes to inspire many Australians to travel differently to Nepal – with more awareness, interaction and enjoyment.
Pramod is also a volunteer who currently works with Nepalese consulate, Melbourne in promoting tourism of Nepal in Australia.
Pramod is also a consultant to ‘Australian volunteers for International development program’, AVIDS (funded by AusAid) in providing cultural pre-briefing to the group of Volunteers heading to Nepal.
