Sherpa Tours Australia is working with Nepalese Consulate Office in Melbourne to assist in organising an event to provide an update to Australian Travel Agents and media about the Tourism in Nepal post earthquake. The event will provide update on trail conditions in post-earthquake Nepal.


Nepal Now, a tourism promotion event by Nepal Tourism

12 August 2015 – The Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation (Nepal) and the Nepal Tourism Board are holding a Nepal Tourism promotion in Australia. Titled Nepal Now, this is a joint exercise, in association with the Nepal Embassy in Australia and the Nepal Consulate, Melbourne.

Scheduled to be held in Melbourne on Tuesday 18 August 2015 and in Sydney on Thursday 20 August 2015, this will see the active participation of the Nepal Tourism Secretary, Suresh Man Shrestha, Joint Secretary-Tourism and the Chairman, Nepal Tourism Board, the Embassy Officials and the Honorary Consul General of Nepal to Victoria and many others.

Aimed at the revival of Tourism in Nepal, the key highlights of this event are post-earthquake destination presentation, update on latest tourism scenario, networking and sharing of ideas to support Nepal. With key speakers, presentations, cultural performances and an interactive session followed by Cocktails and Dinner, this strictly by invite program targets the travel agents, tour operators, Nepal connecting airlines, travel writers, Media and friends of Nepal.

With attractive door prizes such as raffles, flight tickets to Kathmandu and free accommodation packages, this event aims to promote and boost Nepal’s Tourism industry, a major foreign exchange earner, and to provide an impetus to many livelihoods linked with this industry.
